Description:
Sweet & Sour Moraiyo Khichdi For Fasting
Preparation:
1) Wash Moraiyo in 1 -2 changes of water.
2) Soak in 1 Cup of Water for approx 1.5 hours.
3) Finely chop Green Chilies.
4) Coarsely Crush unsalted roasted Peanuts.
5) MIx Yogurt, Citric Acid & 0.5 Cup Water thoroughly.
Cooking:
1) Heat Oil on low flame.
2) Add Cumin Seeds, let it be change in color, add Whole Red Chilli.
3) Add 1 Tablespoon Red Chilli Powder, Washed Diced Potatoes, 5 Cup Water, Chopped Green Chilies and Sendhav Salt.
4) Turn on high flame.
5) Bring to boil until bubbles starts showing.
6) Drain excess water from soaked Moraiyo.
7) Add soaked Moriayo and stir well gently.
8) Again let it bring to boil untill bubbles starts showing.
9) Turn on medium low flame.
10) Add Sendhav Salt and stir well inbetween.
11) Cook for approx. 7 mins.
12) Add 1 Cup Water and stir well inbetween, till Moraiyo becomes tender, for approx 2-3 mins.
13) Add Yogurt liquid, Sugar, Crushed Roasted Peanuts and remaining Red Chilli Powder.
14) Mix it thoroughly & add more 0.5 cup of water.
15) Stir inbetween and cook for approx 5-7 mins. or till require consistancy.
Serve For: 4 Person
Total cooking time: 45 mins.
Garnishing:
Can Serve hot all alone or with Upvas Kadi
