Description:
Garlic Flavored Sweet And Sour Moong Whole
Preparation:
1) Wash and soak moong whole in lukewarm water for 2 hr.
2) Add 3.5 cup of water & little salt and pressure cook till
tender.
3) Drain excess water.
4) Add 0.5 cup of water into sour yogurt and make fine paste.
5) Mix 1 tblsp. garlic paste,0.5 tblsp red chilli powder and 2 tblsp of water into fine paste.
6) Coarsely crush green chillies.
7) Finely chop cilantro.
Cooking:
1) Heat oil in a deep pan.
2) Add cumin seeds,when it changes its colour,add asafoetida and curry leaves.
3) Immediately add garlic-red chilli paste and saute till oil comes out,on medium-low flame.
4) Add yogurt paste and saute for 20-30 sec.
5) Add coriander cumin powder, turmeric powder and
chopped cilantro.
6) Saute continuously.Add boiled Moong Whole,saute and mix well.
7) Add 2cup of water,crushed green chillies,sugar,salt and 0.5tblsp.of garlic paste.
8) Mix gently, add salt and cook on medium flame till required consistancy.
9) Stir in between gently.Remove in a serving bowl.
Serve For: 4-6 Persons
Total cooking time: 40-45 Minutes
Garnishing:
Serve hot with anyone of Deep
Naan,Paratha or Roti.
